Nouvel® Dome - Integrated Warning
The Nouvel® Dome is provided as a handrail based sensory cue for situations where tactile navigation is required, but TGSIs are not suitable or applicable. As stated in AS/NZ 1428.4.1:2009
“Where the Building Code of Australia (BCA) does not require the installation of TGSIs, handrails shall have a raised tactile warning in the form of a domed button 4mm to 5mm in height and 10mm to 12mm in diameter.”
The dome button is to be positioned on top of the stair or ramp handrail 150mm from the end of the handrail.
